Víš, jaké máš nastavení mysli?

Když s někým mluvíte na téma výchova, tak většina lidí vám odpoví, že tím, kým jednou budete, je už předurčeno vašimi geny a následkem výchovy.

Je tomu opravdu tak? 

Já jsem si to také myslela, ale výzkumy ukazují, že přesvědčení člověka, zda inteligence a talent jsou dané, nebo se rozvíjejí v čase, výrazně ovlivňuje to, jak přistupuje k učení a růstu. Ve své knize ,,Mindset: The New Psychology of Success”  Carol Dweck rozděluje lidi na dva typy : lidé s fixním nastavením mysli a lidé s rozvojovým ( já říkám růstovým) nastavením mysli.

Tak se na ně podíváme

Člověk s fixním nastavením mysli nevěří, že se může v něčem zlepšit a ani se o to nesnaží. Věří, že inteligence a talent jsou neměnné a nedají se významně změnit. Takový člověk se vyhýbá výzvám, vzdává se při první překážce, své úsilí hodnotí jako bezcenné, úspěchy druhých vyhodnocuje jako hrozbu, zpětnou vazbu od okolí neumí přijímat, ignoruje ji.

Člověk s růstovým nastavením mysli vítá změny, při překážkách vytrvá, své úsilí bere jako cestu k mistrovství, zpětná vazba mu pomáhá učit se a být lepším, úspěchy druhých jsou pro něj inspirací.¨

Tak kam patříte vy? 

Je třeba si uvědomit, že nemáme celý život jen fixní nebo růstové nastavení mysli. Když něco testujeme a kontrolujeme výsledky jsme fixně naladěni, zatímco když hledáme možnosti pro zlepšení, tíhneme k růstovému myšlení.

Jaká je má zkušenost?

Ze své zkušenosti vím, že záleží i v jaké společnosti se pohybujete. Když jsem se pohybovala ve skupině lidí, která byla fixně naladěná, tak jsem měla  i já  tendence začít fixně myslet. Necítila jsem se dobře, měla jsem horší náladu, byla jsem pesimističtější a myslela jsem, že nemá nic cenu. Naopak, když jsem byla ve skupině, kde převažovali  růstoví lidé, hned jsem se také změnila. Nálada byla lepší.  Myslela jsem, že toho hodně dokáži, dávala  jsem si vyšší cíle, vše jsem viděla  úplně v jiném světle. Byla jsem motivovaná. A tak se snažím sama vyhledávat společnost lidí, kteří jsou stejně naladěni  jako já.  Pokaždé to samozřejmě nejde. Někdy musíte být v  pracovním prostředí, kde jsou různí lidé a  musíte se naučit mezi nimi žít a fungovat. Je pravda, že koučink mě naučil lidi vnímat jinak a nenechávám se už příliš negativně ovlivňovat.  Naopak snažím se pozitivně ovlivňovat lidi s fixním nastavením, aby viděli svět jinak, lépe. Jsem člověk s růstovým nastavením mysli. Jak to máte vy?
